Chris, here are some quick sim ideas for the gaming session we spoke about:
- Kind of proposing a theatre concept here?
- This is excellent, I love this idea!! This is just as I said on SKYPE made for SL, having learners engage this way in-word is deep learner. I think the lead-time for this is too short, though certainly a round-table discussion would obtain some interesting results.
- I'm trying to conceptualise how this would operate, the most straightforward approach would be to use a message board system working off a RL database I imagine, thus dsplaying the definitions.
Definately doable for the event day.
These are just a couple of quick ideas for this event. Love to hear some feedback on feasibility, functionality and rationality of these ideas.
To summarise I think the scripting concepts are wonderful yet not really doable with the short amount of time available.
I suggest the slot we have for this session is more of a round table approach where you present these ideas to the attendees and get some feedback on that. You could have some beta systems working maybe as a demo where YOU show the intention of the fully scripted object, unless of course the scripter gets this down in record time by then.
Any thoughts?
Yes, I really don't know much about build time regarding a workable idea. I do want to have some sort of interactive simulations, even if they aren't pretty. I would like to have them so that we can show the concept rather than tell them about it. As far as the round table is concerned, I think that would work, but would need some help with the development and functionality of the concept. The best thought that I have would be that I need to have a conversation with a person interested in showcasing their builds to see what they are comfortable doing and then I can work around their expertise and time table.
Thanks Chris!!!
